NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District (GBUAPCD) Hearing Board will hold a public hearing at 1:30 pm on Monday, April 23, 2007 in the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power Multipurpose Room at 300 Mandich Street (west entrance), Bishop, California to consider the granting of a Regular Variance to Desert Aggregates. The Petitioner is requesting a variance from District Rule 200, Permits Required for the operation of three diesel power engines. The Petitioner is unable to immediately comply with the retrofit requirements of Title 17 CCR §93115(e)(2)(D)1 (Table 4).

Department of Water and Power for operations at Owens Lake

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District (GBUAPCD) Hearing Board will hold a public hearing at 1:30 pm on Monday, April 23, 2007 in the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power Multipurpose Room at 300 Mandich Street (west entrance), Bishop, California to consider the granting of a Regular Variance to the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power for Operations at Owens Lake. The Petitioner is requesting a variance from District Board Order #031113-01 for dust control measures at Owens Lake. The Petitioner is currently unable to comply with shallow flood requirements in several areas on the lakebed.

GREAT BASIN UNIFIED AIR POLLUTION CONTROL DISTRICT
ADOPTION OF 2007-2008 DISTRICT BUDGET

The Governing Board of the Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District will conduct a public hearing to consider and adopt the District’s annual budget for the 2007-2008 fiscal year and to provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the proposed budget. The District has prepared a summary of its proposed annual budget for the 2007-2008 fiscal year, including a schedule of fees to be imposed by the District to fund its programs. A copy of that summary and supporting documents is available for inspection at the District office at the address shown below. The FY 2007-08 District budget includes a previously adopted increase of its permit renewal fees by fifteen percent.

The public hearing will be conducted at a regular meeting of the District Governing Board to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2007, in the Board of Supervisors Room, Mono County Courthouse – 2nd Floor, Main Street, Bridgeport, California 93517. ADOPTION OF ORDER ASSESSING LADWP MITIGATION FEES

The Governing Board of the Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District will conduct a public hearing to consider and adopt an order (budget) authorized by California Health & Safety Code Section 42316 requiring the City of Los Angeles to pay fees to the District to fund air quality mitigation measure development and other costs, and fixing the amount of those fees. These fees constitute the assessment for the 2007-2008 fiscal year and are based on an estimate of the District’s actual costs associated with air quality mitigation measure development and related air quality analysis. A description of the fee assessment order (budget) is available for inspection at the District office at the address shown below.
